Size:6.7" × 3.3" × 5.8"
Net weight:4.2 oz (Obukucha)
2.1 oz (Hojicha)

This season is a time to go back to our roots. In this set you’ll experience the complexity and sophistication of green tea through two of our most timeless blends.

The set includes one can each of Hosen Sencha and Obukucha. Packaged in a paper box, it also makes for a thoughtful gift.

The Hosen blend is our first recommendation for those new to Ippodo’s premium sencha green teas. On the palate, its umami and sweetness feel plentiful, but not overbearing. In the finish, a light astringency and bitterness, like a cucumber peel, balances out the experience. Finally, its aroma is fresh, green, and invigorating. A treat worth savoring and sharing in the festive season.

We release this Obukucha exclusively around the holiday season, as a tea to drink in celebration of the arrival of a new year. At lunch, bring out the good stuff with a pot of premium genmaicha, Obukucha, limited to production in the winter. This universal favorite has been enjoyed over the holidays for over a millennium in Japan, and its smooth taste and toasty fragrance pair well with hearty holiday meals.
