Rich in umami, smooth in texture, and virtually void of astringency, Ippoen is a top-class gyokuro that is a favorite among our patrons. We recommend enjoying Ippoen’s full-bodied, but elegant character slowly at contemplative tea sessions. We also recommend this tea as cold brew, to taste the full potential of its deep umami and sweetness.
