Sweetened Matcha

An original Ippodo creation, Uji-Shimizu is a matcha-based beverage developed in 1935. It combines matcha powder and sugar to provide an easy to prepare, easy to drink tea for those who prefer their matcha a bit sweeter.

Method

Simply put about 1.5 tbsp. of Uji-Shimizu in a cup or mug. Add water hot or cold and mix with a spoon. It's as simple as that! It tastes great any season, anytime.

  1. Put Uji-Shimizu in the flask
  2. Pour on iced water (and close the lid)
  3. Shake the flask. That's it! It's ready!
  4. 15g or 1.5 tbsp of Uji-Shimizu for each 150ml (5 oz.) of water.
