Ikuyo - 100g
Ikuyo is a medium-bodied matcha with a refreshing bitterness that is slightly more noticeable than its sweetness and umami.
This 100g bag has a sealable closure, a wide opening for easy scooping, and a simple open-and-use design. Choose this size for convenient everyday matcha use, and for preparing a lot of matcha at once for a group.
Ikuyo is a balanced matcha with astringency, umami, and sweetness in proportion. Its medium-light body is joined by a gentle, but bright aroma, like sun-dried straw. As usucha, it is a good option for everyday teatime, served straight and with cookies, cakes, or other sweets. One of our top recommendations for a matcha latte, Ikuyo has slight astringency that pairs well with the milk, and its bright green color makes for a photogenic beverage.

I like to drink matcha every day and some days I have family over. So I make them a cup of matcha with this bag and it's great. The taste is amazing and I don't run out as quickly. It's expensive to buy the little tins so having a bag with 100G of matcha helps out my wallet without compromising the quality and taste.
Highly recommend this matcha for latte lovers. I’ve had one daily since I got the tea and now I need to order more!
I didn't like the earthy-ness to this at first, but the flavor and umami notes have changed my opinion. Definitely my favorite matcha right now! Subtle changes like temperature and whisk time really make the difference with this tea as well
Light refreshing vegetal taste as bitterness is more pronounced but adding cold almond milk adds creaminess and nuttiness of the milk with a bit of sweetener. Using 2 teaspoons of this matcha powder with almond milk or any milk makes the Matcha tastes more rich and creamy!
As an obsessive tea drinker --- from imported puerh bricks to hojicha to matcha --- I swear by Ippodo for my matcha fix. Out of all of them, I find that the Ikuyo is most reliable and offers the best quantity without sacrificing flavour; I'll bring out the richer matcha varieties like the Ummon or Kanza for special occasions, but the Ikuyo makes for a great daily beverage.
