Billing & Payment Policy

The following Terms of Use constitute's Billing Policy and apply to ALL customers:

1. Payments

All charges are shown in USD. Payments are to be made in USD. accepts the following types of payment:

  • Credit Card (VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Discover)

We also accept the following crypto currencies:

  • Ethereum (ETH)
  • Bitcoin (BTC)
  • DAI
  • USDC

All payments are due on receipt. If you provide your credit card information, you authorize to automatically charge your credit or debit card for charges that apply to your account. You are responsible for directly updating, or notifying, of any changes to your credit card (including, but not limited to card number, expiration date, billing address, or card status).

Customers not paying by credit card agree to make payment of their balance due within ten (10) days of the Account Statement Date.

Accounts that are thirty (30) days past due will be automatically suspended. All past due and unpaid balances are subject to collection. In the event of collection, you will be liable for costs of collection including attorney's fees, court costs, and collection agency fees.

2. Statements does not mail paper invoices or statements. Registered account holders can view and print statements via their Account.

3. Fees

3.1 Foreign transaction fees

In rare circumstances, some banks may charge you a foreign transaction fee on your purchase. If you notice this fee on your statement, please reach out to us via the chat or by emails to to receive a refund.

3.2 Customs fees

When ordering from outside of the US, you may be charged additional customs fees if your order includes items other than green tea (utensils, for example). Orders that only contain green tea are generally duty-free, but customs agents may still decide to charge a processing fee.

3.3 Credit card chargebacks

4. Lost, damaged or stolen orders

If your order is deemed lost, damaged or stolen we will issue a replacement order containing the affected items. Orders that have no tracking status updates for 30 consecutive days from when they are shipped are automatically considered lost.

5. Returns / Exchanges

We want your whole experience with Ippodo, our teas, and our items to be joyful. If you received a defective item or are otherwise disappointed with your purchase, please contact us at our contact page within 7 days of when the package arrives, and we will do our best to make things right.

We are unable to handle return requests for orders in-person at our New York Store.

6. Refund Policy

Refunds are only available in accordance with our return policy. Refunds will be provided in the form of an in-store credit or "Gift Card". There are no refunds offered or promised after 30 days.

If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and you will receive a Gift Card sent to the same email you made your purchase, within a certain amount of days.

6.1 Late or missing refunds

Refunds will generally take 3 days to process. If you haven’t received a refund yet after 3 business days, first please check your email and account again. If there are still no updates, please contact us again at

6.2 Exchanges

We do not accept exchanges of any kind.

7. Credit Card Disputes / Chargebacks has a zero tolerance policy for chargebacks. Any customer who disputes a credit card payment is subject to a fine, suspension and account termination at's discretion. A charge of $25.00 per chargeback will be assessed to all accounts that receive a chargeback.

8. Price Changes's policies and prices are subject to change without notice. Any price changes become effective immediately.
