Matcha Holiday Bundle #4
Ippodo matcha, as seen on... This bundle pairs our three most mentioned, most talked-about matcha blends. Available as a one-time release with a limited quantity at a special price.
Latte: 3 g (1.5 tsp.)
Koicha: 4 g (2 tsp.)
0.7 oz (Horai)
1.05 oz (Ikuyo)
As Japanese tea specialists in Kyoto since 1717, we produce over 10 regular blends of matcha, each with its own character. But, if you heard about us recently on TikTok, Instagram, Reddit, or from a certain famous newspaper from New York, one of these three matchas was likely the one being talked about. See what the hype is about with this limited bundle.
In the bundle:
Ummon – a powerful, complex blend. One of our highest-ranking matchas for decades. In a latte, Ummon feels rich and almost buttery. On its own, it’s punchy and eye-opening from the first sip.
Horai – Smooth but complex; full-bodied but easy-to-drink: there’s a reason why Horai is the matcha we recommend trying first among our 10 blends. In a latte, it’s creamy and rich with a beautiful green color. On its own, it has plenty of the natural sweetness and earthiness with a tinge of refreshing astringency. The Horai blend is named Sayaka in the larger 40g and 100g sizes.
Ikuyo – Medium-bodied, and balanced. Ikuyo is our first recommendation for a matcha latte since its crisp astringency pairs well with the sweet creaminess of the milk. On its own, you’ll find it lighthearted and easy to drink every day.
Ways to Prepare
Matcha made into a rich, thick paste by using less water and more matcha powder per serving.
Combine matcha's natural sweetness and crisp green bite with the creamy texture of milk.
Prepare matcha with hot water and cool it rapidly with plenty of ice.
An iced latte is smooth, refreshing, and easy-to-drink.
Whisking matcha with cold or chilled water brings out a strong sweetness.
