Matcha Bundle: Latte Favorites
A special bundle of two matcha blends delicious in a matcha latte. Compare and contrast slightly smoother Kan with slightly crisper Ikuyo. Both are also good straight!
Latte: 3 g (1.5 tsp.)
1.05 oz (Ikuyo)
As Japanese tea specialists in Kyoto since 1717, we produce over 10 regular blends of matcha, each with its own character. None of our blends is dedicated for any one use, but we often get asked for recommendations. For a matcha latte, we often suggest starting with one of our medium-body blends, Ikuyo and Kan, for their beautiful color and balanced taste when mixed with milk.
In the bundle:
Kan – is a medium-rich matcha blend. Its pleasant astringency and round umami are present in equal proportion, giving it a well-balanced taste. It tastes just as good in a latte as it does straight, alongside a croissant in the morning.
Ikuyo – Medium-bodied, and balanced. Ikuyo is our first recommendation for a matcha latte since its crisp astringency pairs well with the sweet creaminess of the milk. On its own, you’ll find it lighthearted and easy to drink every day.
Ways to Prepare
Combine matcha's natural sweetness and crisp green bite with the creamy texture of milk.
Prepare matcha with hot water and cool it rapidly with plenty of ice.
An iced latte is smooth, refreshing, and easy-to-drink.
