Matcha Whisk (Chasen) - 80-tip

When it comes to making matcha, the bamboo utensil known as the chasen is indispensable. Many aspects of our chasen, each made by an expert hand so as to bring out the natural properties of the bamboo, highlight the skilled craftsmanship that went into their manufacture.

Storing intructions

Putting it in the case before it is completely dry can cause it to become moldy. It is recommended to use a Whisk Stand (Chasen Tate) to preserve durability. When making matcha, be careful not to use too much force and scrape the bottom of the cup with the tips because this will cause them to bend or break.

Durability

Tradition has it that a high-quality chasen can last long enough to make over one hundred cups of matcha. If used properly, this chasen is more than durable enough to last that long. Nevertheless, because it is a consumable item, we recommend that you replace it once the tips begin to thin out.

Quality chasen

When I first started drinking matcha I unfortunately did not understand the importance of a quality chasen. This one is far superior to many on the internet and makes a real difference when preparing your tea.

Matcha whisk

I think this whisk is great and does its job however 2 weeks after I started using it the bamboo is falling apart. I’ve only washed this by hand and taken extra care keep it in good condition. But hopefully it lasts me longer than 1 year.

Easy perfect result and maintenance

At first, I used my milk frother to whisk matcha. It was great and effortless, but a bit too foamy and I wanted to find out why people say using chasen is best. I got the whole set and gave it a try. Following the guideline turned out very easy to make a perfect looking matcha! Keeping the chasen is also easy with the stand.
