Have the prices changed?

Recently, there have been a lot of changes in the Japanese tea industry at large, including a massive increase in demand for matcha that has made the price of all teas go up.

Additionally, new tariffs on Japanese goods imported to the USA have now gone into place. 

For IppodoTea.com, which ships from a warehouse in the USA, the new tariffs and the increased costs of Japanese tea are significant, and in order to keep operating, we have to raise prices on many of our items.

We are grateful for our loyal customers who have enjoyed Ippodo Teas throughout the years. It was a difficult decision to raise prices, but we hope we can ask for your understanding as we navigate the changing landscape of the Japanese tea industry at large.
