Kanro - 50g
Kanro's plentiful umami and long finish make it a good gyokuro for slowly sipping in small servings. Try this tea for your first taste of Ippodo gyokuro.
Kanro’s name means “sweet dew,” and this tea has a plentiful rich character until the last drop. We recommend Kanro to those drinking Ippodo gyokuro for the first time, as an introduction to the rich experience that this category of tea has to offer, and as a representative of Ippodo gyokuro. We also recommend this tea as cold brew, to taste the full potential of its deep umami and sweetness.

Fantastic. Reminded me of the gyokuro I had in Tokyo—thick mouthful and nuanced, nutty flavor. I was hesitant to make it at home, but it turned out well, better than I expected, even with my limited knowledge of making gyokuro. Will buy again.
This tea is so smooth and flavorful that I look forward to having it everyday. It is truly one of the most delicious green teas I have ever tasted.
Not sure how many teaspoons to use..
My first Gyokuro, to me 1st steep was dark and vegetal, very clean with no bitterness or astringency, by the 3-4th steep it more resembled green tea flavors I’m accustomed to. Overall a pleasant tea (I’m curious to try others now) if not slightly overpriced for what it is imo
